This is the entrance to the National Institute of Marriage. We had the privilege of visiting there and learning more about their programs. Unfortunately, the place was full, and there was a marriage intensive going on while we were visiting, so we could not take a tour. They invited us to come back and take a complete tour at another time. We really value what NIM is doing to preserve marriage and we are fortunate to be able to use some of their material in our own intensives. Thank you NIM for setting the pace for solid marriage recovery.
We had a good lunch at Famous Dave’s and enjoyed taking many pictures of the fun items he had on the wall. Famous Dave’s was located at the Landing in Branson, which is on the water and has a whole street of familiar and unique shops. It looks like a village and is a very clean, interesting place to visit.
David did not realize who was watching over him during his meal!
We took a tour in the afternoon of the Titanic museum (there is another located in Gatlinburg). It was a very interesting tour and they actually have a replica of the Grand Staircase in the museum, as well as all kinds of memorabilia collected over the years. They have a small pool of water that is kept at 28 degrees so you can place your hand in it and see how cold the water was the night the Titanic sank. It was freezing!! Great museum to see if you are in that area.
Last night we had the privilege of attending a concert at the Pierce Arrow theater. This quartet puts on quite a show, with a combination of country, gospel, and patriotic music. They also have a fantastic comedian who weaves the show together with funny stories. At some point in the program they present the gospel to the audience and they also pay tribute to 911 and veterans. It is a fantastic show, and one leaves their show proud to be an American.
Branson is a great place to take your family. There is something for everyone, and it is a family friendly town.
