All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
All you need is love (all together now)
All you need is love (everybody)
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
and now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. I Cor. 13:13
Second day of vacation: I awake to the quiet sounds of a sleeping child. His little body is almost in a fetal position. He looks like an angel.
He wakes up happy, full of love. This little boy, my godson, is truly blessed. His world is surrounded by people who love him, who know God’s love, and his heart is full. We share a morning together, swimming at the pool with his sisters and his parents. He just loves being together.
Now it’s time to celebrate him — his birthday. We go through Atlanta traffic to a restaurant his dad has chosen (his dad remembers my favorite restaurant is Brio’s) and there is a table waiting for just us. And Noah is happy … Happy that his family is altogether.
Love. Acceptance. Unconditional. Grace. It doesn’t take much to please Noah because he is surrounded by love. He is happy with an ice cream sundae.
He is happy with a $3 helicopter. Why? Because he is surrounded by love.
We talk about his future with his parents. Will he be an engineer like his daddy, an entrepreneur like his mommy, or perhaps an Air Force officer like his uncle Dave ? It really doesn’t matter because he will do well …. He is full of love. And at the end of the day …. All you need is love.
