O Lord, God of my master Abraham, if you will, please grant success to the journey on which I have come. Gen. 24:42.
The first day of our journey began with a delightful breakfast with dear friends who blessed us so abundantly (thanks Roger and Shirley!). Then we got a big Kaser hug when the five Kasers came by to send us off. Finally, we said goodbye to our very dear Bonnie and Rap who sent us off with a care package (love those lollipops!).
So on the first day we are reminded that friends are worth more than gold! Treasure them and nurture your friendships!
Tonight we stopped at the Farmhouse Restaurant in Lake Park, GA. We spent $22 for dinner, and filled the gas tank for $51. David remarked, “the car is eating better than we are.”. I don’t know — that southern meal was hard to beat!
One more highlight was a trip to Target to find an Optimus Prime for our godson. Didn’t I buy one of these about 20 years ago? Some things never change!
Thanks to all of you who have sent us messages ….. We appreciate your prayers. Now to Atlanta to celebrate our godson Noah’s birthday! What a special gift from God!
